Pitti Immagine Uomo is the world-leading event for men's fashion. It takes place every six months and takes place in Florence, at the Fortezza da Basso. Within this frame, MAKE, THE NEW MAKERS is a project born to enhance a generation of craftsmen engaged in the development of new and precious products, with a contemporary taste. "The Precious Box" is the preparation concept of the June 2019 edition, curated by Angelo Figus and layout by Alessandro Moradei.
Fassamano will be at Pitti Immagine Uomo from 11 to 14 June 2019, the elegant reading glasses exhibit at MAKE, THE NEW MAKERS, Sala Riondino stands 11, dedicated to the most innovative international products and styles.
Fassamano is a design object, enhanced by a refined and sophisticated gesture. You wear it elegantly, you raise it to your face creating a microarchitecture effect for the face. A useful and fancy accessory for a dandy or radical chic look.
Since 1300, in Venice, similar glasses were used to read maps and short notes tickets. In the eighteenth century, it spread, beyond Venice, as face à main, like a jewel to show off.
Fassamano draws from the craftsmanship of the past to create a contemporary unisex model, handcrafted in Italy, in the Venetian eyewear district.
It can also be worn as a broach on a man's jacket and offers a range of branded chains and accessories designed in collaboration with the jewellery designers Laura B and Sharra Pagano.
Fassamano is a useful object designed by Cristiana Vannini, designer and art director of Fassamaneria SRL, which owns the brand. The idea was born at a dinner party with friends when nobody could read the wine label written in too small print. Intuition becomes an entrepreneurial reality when one realizes that the market does not answer comprehensively all vision problems.
Our everyday life is prompted by hundreds of flash information that illuminates small screens, whilst from around 45 years old, our eye lens loses its elasticity creating a slight difficulty in focusing closely, a physiological condition called presbyopia.
There are over 2 billion people in the world who need reading glasses. In addition to the version with ophthalmic correction, the problem is often managed with “occasional” eyeglasses, you look for in your pocket or your bag many times during the day; a complicated and, most certainly, not very youthful or elegant gesture.
The Fassamano is smart eyewear, to be worn in a different way, completely dedicated to "instant readings": an "analogical object in a digital world" explains Andrea Camerana, co-founder of Fassamaneria SRL.
The frames are in Mazzucchelli 1849 acetate, Computer Numerical Control and hand polished; the metal part is in laser-cut german silver with galvanic treatments and protective paint. All for a weight of 20 grams, 9 colour variants and textures and correction of presbyopia from +1 to +3.5 diopters.
Our elegant eyewear is also the winner of the Golden 'A Design Award and Competition 2019in the Jewellery, Eyewear and Watch Design category, which awards the best design project for quality, innovation, sustainability ... All these principles represent Fassamaneria founding elements.
Besides its own e-commerce, Fassamaneria has a selected physical distribution in Italy and in six foreign countries.

Unique and timeless, these round frame spectacles are made of acetate from the Italian trademark Mazzucchelli 1849. Crafted with CNC technology (Computer Numerical Control, used for high precision custom production) and hand polished afterwards.
The eye rims are polished with a glossy finish and the linear nose bridge is in contrasting metal with satin finish.
Suitable for presbyopia prescriptions of +1.00/ +1.50/ +2.00/ +2.50/ +3.00.
Lenses included with the frame with a corrective strength of +2.00.
Prescription lenses can be added, if required, thanks to the exclusive Fassamano
